Calicut Medical College established in 1957 as the second medical college in Kerala, is a premier institute with a vast campus spread over an extensive area of 270 acres and located about 8 km east from the heart of Kozhikode city.
Our surgical department led by the most experienced and competent teachers, trains medical students and residents, basic and advanced surgical skills, along with foundational education of surgical procedures, preoperative evaluation, postoperative care and interdepartmental collaboration for multidisciplinary care and regularly implements measures to maintain high standards of patient safety and care by conducting and hosting various programmes of continuous medical education that equips our generation of surgeons to adapt to the fast paced advancements of medical science and technology in our field.
The Calicut Surgical Society is proud to invite you to the 47th Annual Conference of the Kerala State Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India, an Organisation representing general surgery and all its related specialities throughout the state of Kerala, a scientific and educational association of surgeons founded to improve the quality of care for the surgical patient by setting high standards for surgical education and practice, the founding principle of which is "The advancement of the science and art of surgery and the promotion of friendship amongst surgeons".
This year's theme, "Surgical Alchemy: Transforming challenges into triumphs" embodies our shared commitment to improving the lives of our patients through surgical excellence and innovation. Our conference will take place at the elegant venue, Hotel Raviz Kadavu, Calicut from the 10th to 12th of May, 2024.
